Purpose of the Position
The Battery Technician is responsible for supporting battery assembly, testing, inspection, repair, and operational activities. The role focuses on executing assigned tasks safely and accurately while following approved SOPs, work instructions, and guidance from senior team members. Battery System Engineering is dedicated to ensuring safer batteries, reliable performance, efficient integration with our bikes, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Battery Assembly & Preparation
- Support battery assembly, disassembly, and preparation activities as instructed.
- Prepare battery packs, tools, fixtures, components, and consumables before testing or repair.
- Assist in battery pack opening, closing, cleaning, and reassembly activities.
- Support battery movement, storage, and handling in accordance with approved safety procedures.
Testing & Inspection Support
- Assist in battery testing, charging, discharging, and inspection activities under the guidance of senior team members.
- Perform basic visual inspections and report any abnormalities, damage, or safety concerns.
- Ensure battery packs are correctly labelled and prepared before testing or dispatch.
Operational Support
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, tools, equipment, and battery storage areas.
- Receive, unpack, organize, and arrange battery components and consumables.
- Support inventory movement and material preparation as required.
Documentation & Reporting
- Complete basic checklists and records related to assigned work.
- Report defects, damaged parts, missing materials, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
- Follow instructions accurately and communicate work progress when required.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all battery handling procedures, PPE requirements, and workplace safety guidelines.
- Handle battery packs, tools, and equipment with care to prevent damage and safety risks.
- Perform other operational or technical tasks assigned by the supervisor to support Battery Systems activities.
Requirement
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related technical fields.
- 0-1 years of experience in a fast-paced environment in a similar role.
